Fun
A late-ish night discussing the virtues or otherwise of Holyport village fair. (This coming Saturday 3rd June). The long lost Holyport beer race was fondly remembered. Why can't we have village tomato fights, charging bulls or 1,000-a-side rubgy punch-ups like they seem to be able to do in Europe. All agreed the paralysis was caused by too much preventative legislation, insurance issues and all-round caution. The word 'fun' caused much debate. Continued discussion on the effects of long term skunk abuse vis a vis barstaff performance, mood swings, paranoia, denial etc. Closure of the front car park (all six spaces) still causing some restlessness amongst the natives. Petanque court measurements revised.

Can hardly roll a fag properly but nevertheless I am determined to support this escapade. If you think you're hard enough? Holyport unfair day. Did anyone ask anyone whether we wanted a fair? Used to be that the workers needed some fun but this not the case any more. The whole thing is perpetuated by people that are community minded, which is another way of saying guilty. Oh! lets have a cheese and blood party for the victims of black pudding poisoning.
missed out is.
In your words.
Bollox
I reckon it was a record turn out this year which tells me people do have FUN when the come the fair.
I cant wait for next year.
A record turn out usually means the drains can't cope with it. Too full.
