Big kids

Collected gate for new fencing project. Old white kerbstones removed and concreted up. As expected grown men love to put their initials in wet cement. Karen tamped out the grafiti with her slippers. Next person to ask me what I'm doing about the smoking ban will not win a prize.
Notified that my time in the stocks on fair day will be 3.20pm.

Fun

A late-ish night discussing the virtues or otherwise of Holyport village fair. (This coming Saturday 3rd June). The long lost Holyport beer race was fondly remembered. Why can't we have village tomato fights, charging bulls or 1,000-a-side rubgy punch-ups like they seem to be able to do in Europe. All agreed the paralysis was caused by too much preventative legislation, insurance issues and all-round caution. The word 'fun' caused much debate. Continued discussion on the effects of long term skunk abuse vis a vis barstaff performance, mood swings, paranoia, denial etc. Closure of the front car park (all six spaces) still causing some restlessness amongst the natives. Petanque court measurements revised.
